Testing the animation Aidan made for the TVs to make sure it works (it does).

The animation:

Reworked the animation Aidan made us to work with social media (portrait format). Had the idea to have a countdown to the opening, previewing a couple of students work each day.

Ordered some cheap shit multicoloured bunting for a fiver. Me, Chris, Katy and Quinn Spent a few hours draping it across the room in various ways.

Setups gone better than expected, just the final touches to add tomorrow (Friday 22nd)

Really wanted to paint the pillars the shape colours, but never got the chance to get authorisation for this... so just said fuck it and started rolling. Start the painting so there's no going back. Ask for forgiveness afterwards right?

Agreed list of what is to happen and when on the week of setup.

Jess H, Laura and I (though mainly Jess H) gave the shapes a final primer coating, and then tested coverage of the yellow on two of the shapes.

Needed to work out the size for the 'human shaped' signage'. Still a bit small.

Went to cut the shapes, along with giving everything its first coating of primer. Team included me, Jess H, Laura and Jess A.

Lasercut most of the shapes in one afternoon. 2 left to cut.

Poster printed some of the shapes to see what they'd look like in the studio frames.

Made this instagram post 'save the date', so we could get the date out. This was instead of waiting on a decision to be made for the direction of the main posters.

Also setup a template for posting individual artworks, so everyone can do it consistently.

Got tasked specifically with designing an insert for the Northern Design Festival:

Work by the year on multiple parts of the show seemed to have stalled at this point, mainly due to the lack of design and colour decisions that were going on. 

So I designed a colour chart with some rules and guidelines on how to use the colours for consistency.

Test cutting a character shape, ready for production after easter.

Setup a finance tracker to help with managing all the purchases, along with showing how much is left.

Needed to vectorise the drawings that everyone had done of their shapes, ready for laser cutting.
